Though I did not grow up with a tree house of my own, I have spent a life time imagining how I would build mine. As I drift off to sleep at night, rather than following the long tradition of counting sheep, I often spend this transcending state designing tree houses. This one has made several appearances in my dreams.

DIY & Tutorial : Brown-Paper-Bag Trees

For my most recent environment piece, "The Dreaming Tree," I built the tree itself using galvanized pipe, steel wire, aluminum foil, Trader Joe's brown paper bags, and watered down wood glue. 

The tree is made from wood glue and recycled Trader Joe's bags. The earth is coffee grinds and chai tea. It smells lovely.
