Join us on December 14th, 2019 for the third Project Pizza online pop-up shop, raising money to fight hunger by selling pizza-themed art. From 10AM to 10PM join artists Shing Yin Khor and Eron Rauch as they host a draw-a-thon featuring a dozen of their talented friends making art and jamming their faces full of pizza.
Grab a slice (one random drawing), a whole pie (10), or even a party pack (30) to share with friends and co-workers. Preorders open December 12th, and we sell out every year, so stop back by to secure your slices!
100% of the profits from Project Pizza #3 are being donated to the awesome organization Food Forward. Combating both food waste and hunger, they travel to farmer’s markets, orchards, and wholesalers to collect the surplus bounty that would otherwise be thrown away. That peak-ripeness produce is then passed directly to hunger relief groups.
Every $1 redirects about 11 pounds of food. So buying even a single drawing means over 100 pounds of peaches, lettuce, or other delicious produce will be saved to nourish someone in need.
We raised $4680 last year, which is 51480 pounds of delicious food that went to the food insecure rather than the garbage. That is approximately 198 super-cute baby elephants, 614 wheels of Parmesan cheese, or 1.5 Apollo lunar landers worth of food. Help us make our donation two whole lunar landers this year.
Our fundraising goal for 2019 is $5000. That’s 500 pizzas that we need to draw in 12 hours, and 500 slices of pizza-art looking for a home!
